Who Works Here

Four People, No Sales Floor

Everyone here fits, builds, or both. Nobody is on commission, and you can ask for a specific person when you book.

ES
Founder · Lead Fitter

Elena Sandoval

Elena opened the storage-unit version of this shop in 2009 after a decade repairing and building clubs for a chain retailer, where she grew tired of writing recommendations she did not believe. She spent two of those years doing nothing but bending irons, which is where the face-angle obsession started.

She still runs most iron and full-bag sessions personally, and she is the one who insists a sample includes your bad swings. If you want the version of the session with the most argument in it, book Elena.

TO
Fitter · Long Clubs

Tobias Okonjo

Tobias came to fitting from launch-monitor work at a driving range in Phoenix, where he spent four years watching golfers chase numbers that did not survive contact with a golf course. He brought the cold-confirmation block with him and we adopted it shop-wide within a month.

He handles the majority of driver and fairway wood sessions, and he is unusually good at explaining why a slower shaft sometimes produces a longer tee shot.

MR
Fitter · Short Game and Putters

Marisol Reyes

Marisol played collegiate golf in New Mexico and worked as an assistant professional for six seasons before moving to the equipment side. She built our putting surface and wrote most of the hang-angle protocol we use, including the decision to record everything in degrees rather than in marketing labels.

Wedge and putter sessions are hers. She is also the person most likely to tell you that your equipment is fine and your green reading is the problem.

HW
Club Builder

Hollis Wren

Hollis has been assembling golf clubs since the late nineteen-nineties and does not particularly enjoy talking about it. Every club that leaves this shop passed across his bench, got measured twice, and got recorded in a ledger he keeps by hand because he does not trust software with swingweights.

He does not run fitting sessions, but if you have a question about epoxy cure times or why your ferrule lifted, he will happily answer it at length.

How We Staff It

Nobody Here Earns More by Selling You More

Fitters are paid a salary. There is no commission on hardware, no bonus tied to average ticket value, and no internal leaderboard. This is a deliberately boring compensation structure and it is the main reason a recommendation from this shop means something.

It also means the answer "your clubs are already correct" costs the fitter nothing to say. In a commission shop, that sentence is expensive, which is why you rarely hear it.

All four of us are in the building on Thursdays and Fridays. If you want a second opinion during your session, ask — someone will walk over and look at the screen.
